Beef casserole
This is a twist on my Dad's beef casserole recipe...basically just chucked random stuff in there.
Ingredients
1kg beef
handful of flour
1 1/2 onions
2 carrots
2 celery stalks
1 can of tomatoes
2 beef stock cubes
3 teaspoons of crushed garlic
2 teaspoons of curry powder
3 bay leaves
2 teaspoons of brown sugar
3 teaspoons of cumin
3 teaspoons of paprika
3 teaspoons of basil
3 teaspoons of tomato sauce
3 tablespoons of Worcester sauce
1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
Water
Salt
Pepper
Method
EDIT:
I made this the other night and added four cloves of garlic, quite a bit of balsamic vinegar and curry powder, parsnip and red wine!

Method
- cut up beef and rub flour on it
- add all other ingredients
- stir and cover with water
- put in oven, covered, for 2 hours on 180 degrees thereabouts
- after an hour and 45 mins take out and stir in quarter of a cup of cornflour that you have mixed with water
- put back back in for 15 mins
- serve with rice or potatoes
